Online Haul of the Week

Okee, so as some of you might know, I'm a bit of an...onlineholic. If online shopping didn't exist I wouldn't have spent more than half my income last year on clothes. And shoes. Can't forget those babies. Beside the point....I was thoroughly impressed by what I ordered last weekend that came in the mail this week that I had to share.

First, the packaging was so cute!!! My first thing was this lovely little ring I got from a consignment shop in Texas. It was put in a little paper bag with a cut-out heart and a handwritten note of thanks for my purchase!
Then, it was put in an even cuter paper parcel tied with string (which completely made me want to send things in paper tied with string!)! I can't express how enthused I was by them.

Peek for yoselves!

 I literally gushed aloud finding it wrapped like this!

 Quaint much?
<3

 Ze item inside.
Faux emerald ring. Love that cut for a jewel.
P.S. excuse the chipped polish. I'm cursed but won't give up my adoration of colored nails.

BAM! How's that for some ghostly lighting?
(I'm super pale so this isn't that far off.)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then my little chickadees, I received this AHMAZING draped vintage dressy today. No special packaging but some kick-ass business cards covered in gold dust. Anything fairy-like and glittery is always a plus with moi.
There are five ultra spectacular reasons I adore this dress:
1. It's baby blue. I'm obsessed with baby blue.  That is all.
2. The draping on this dress is...simply divine. Stunning! Exquisite! Draping is my tea and crumpets of dresses. I need to own more draped dresses. I couldn't get enough of photographing the draping on it!
3. It has Dolman sleeves. Another obsession. I currently own four Dolman shirts and one Dolman cardigan that I endlessly get compliments on whenever I wear it. Dolman is da shit.
4. The black zigzag trim is such a BAMF feature. It cinched the deal for me (just like the waistline did).
5. The length and style of the hem is so complimentary on me. It hits my thighs at a cut that makes 'em look c'est magnifique!!!
^
 My sis made me laugh right as she took the picture and I'm glad. I'm not wearing any make-up and had just showered so my hair was lackluster at best (wtf is happening to my bangs?). And I look Asian, though I'm not. I have small eyes like my girl T-Swifty. I rock it (or try or mock myself).
Sidenote: zhat is vhy my head is not exactly in ze rest of the pics, but I think zhey are rather artistic and keep ze focus on ze dress, which is vhat counts.
I had to document the day I received dis masterpiece in ze mail.
Plus, my CL knock-off booties went perf with it. Also, my bestie's G-ma's vintage floral belt. I have NEVER gone wrong whilst wearing that beaut. It goes with errythang. I don't even mind that this photo makes me look like I have no boobage. That's how much I lobe this dress.
 ^
Please excuse the typical mirror pic, but my legs looking fucking goot.
Oh, hey legs. And teeny waist.
Dressy, I friggin' worship you!
Do you see that color?
Bomb.
I CANNOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS DRAPING!!!!!!!
Is it possible to make drape babies?
Cause I need to somehow mate zhis dress.
This dress honestly did wonders for my legs. They look so long and skinnay!!!
Say it wit me: WOOT FUCKING WOOT!
V-Day Dress Courtesy
In honor of Valentine's Day, I give you a special treat - this dress is made entirely of cotton mop fibers. Isn't that pretty sveet? Dyed baby pink and woven together to create this:
 Now that's creativity.
I love this model too! She's gorgeous and the woodsy theme is somehow so appropriate!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S!!!!!!
Weekly Shoe Designer: Charlotte Olympia
Since I'm flying solo this V-day (aside from the exception of my splurge valentine date with Princessa, which is gonna be the highlight of the year food-wise) I'm all about the girl power presently. Therefore, I dedicate this week's shoe spotlight to Ms. Charlotte Olympia.
She is known for her signature fierce and bold platform on her heels, plus her kinda quirky cute style. Honestly, she's awesome. And British. You can never go wrong being a flourishing designer from jolly old England! I want at least five pairs of your heels in my massive shoe wish list so, so badly, mate.
For now, I relish your collections through pictures:
Love the ruffles on the back and the rich red color! Fierce.
I saw these and went bezurk. Leopard can be so tacky on shoes, but these are so unqiue and fabulous! I'm actually considering buying these for real. I want dem dat mucho.
What a sweet pink! The gold platform is such a pretty contrast.
Again, leopard can destroy cute heels, but these are bad ass. The rivet design on the heel and black platform balance zhis masterpiece superbly!
I am so all for a decorated heel on a shoe. It jives it up into some less plain and more bold. Plus, it's like a little pop of surprise when you turn around! Jea jea jea
God, it's absurd how obsessed and head over heels (heheh) I am with her platform wedges. They're so fucking cool! And there's still an elegance to them that I adore.
The mutli-colors on this one are faboosh. It's almost like Versace, but still entirely different and ubber chic!!!
Metallic blue. Charlotte, ma'am, you know what youz doin'.
HOLY BALLS!!!!!!!! Striped wedges are my love and soul and I'm dying not owning these!! Oh my god, they're fucking incredible! Paris molded into a shoe. Um, yes please.
Ah, polka dots.
Wonderfully cute and poppy with any outfit. Where's my million dollar paychecks already so I can do some surrious shopping!? Miss Olympia darling, I do hope you're awaiting my arrival. We shall have tea in your cute London store and gush about our fond and unparalleled adoration of high heels.
Cheerio till then!
Maple Blondie
Ladies, BEHOLD - I have come across in my vast wanderings of the Publix ice cream section, a treasure in a treasure within a treasure. Chyeah, that big and that fucking delicious. Oh my god, it is divine. Most of you know, maple syrup is my jam. (Obviously not an actual jam, but if there was one I'd be on top of that faster than if Jake Gyllenhaal was naked at my doorstep.)
Maple doughnuts, maple bread, maple everythang!
So. Holy maple delight when I found dis pint of nirvana paradise bliss. It's maple ice cream with blonde brownie chunks (basically a maple brownie) with caramel and maple swirls. Um, you have no idea how fast I snatched that from the freezer. I didn't get a chance to feel the cold air or nip.
Anyway, at the check out I was so overcome with joy and maple frivality, that I bequeathed to Will, the register guy, "Maple syrup is my Jesus Christ. My life is complete now!" He was laughing so much and I felt so awesome and bad ass (especially in my five inch studded biker boots) that nothing could wrong in the world.
And let me tell ya, Ben and Jerry's did not disappoint. The blonde brownie with the ice cream (not so much the swirls) is an O in my mouth. It's beyond good. The maple just bursts on your taste buds and it's nice and light and fluffy and magnificent. Nikki, my home girl, you were the first person I thought of when I saw this. Represent.
Also, go buy dis shit now cause it's a limited release.
You won't be disappointed and you'll never contemplate a flavor of choice ever again.
Welcome to the Maple brigade gals.
Weekly Shoe: Roger Vivier
It's been, for a long time, my determination to have a weekly post dedicated to my favorite and most fabulous piece of fashion - shoes. And I when I say shoes, I mean anything with more than a three inch heel. I don't do flats. I mean, I do, obviously, but if I could walk miles in heels whilst running errands without discomfort, then I truly mean I don't do flats.
So, I was first - while going through my categorized and labeled (first by boot, sandle, heel then ankle, knee-length, thigh-high to colors, then sometimes by designers) I was just gonna do one big post. But I had way way too many choices to comment on, hence I shall bequeath my weekly shoe posts to be by designer!
Zhis veek's posty is on a shoe designer that caught my eye from Katie Holmes during her prime time fashionista glory in 2007. I remember thinking, "Wow, she really digs this Roger Vivier guy for accessories." She literally wore his shoes and handbags to at least four events in a row.
Besides, it was the buckled shoe design and that wasn't really my jam. A lot of designers were doing it, like Tory Burch, so it hadn't caught my fancy yet. It worked for Katie, just not very va-va-va-voom for moi.
Afterwards, not really taking any particular interest while I glimpsed his names in fashion mags, I noticed that he was very keen on florals. This shoe first grabbed my attention when a bunch of celebs were strutting this style:
I thought these were the cats pajamas and I still do. Absolutely gorgeous. The stiletto even has the shape and appearance of a thorned stem! Brilliant. Plus, it's just very feminine and elegant. That is the one word I use to describe Roger Vivier.
But once I googled him, I discovered the mother load. Btw, in this instant, mother load doesn't quite mean quantity, but rather quality. Honestly, this man is a genius with extravagant details. I don't know whether his shoes should be worn with a cute cocktail dress or be stuck in a green house!
Say it with me: Holy. Fucking. Balls.
 Works of horticulturalist art!
 IN-GENIUS!
 I am very much in agreement that these are on display to drool and fawn over.
Holy shit, the details!?
Now that's dedication to drawing attention to a woman's foot.
A little bit of research later, I found out that good ol' Rog had collaborated with Dior in a superb inspiration circa Marie Antoinette! Princessa, I know you'll appreciate these shoes along wif me:
Keep it up, Mr. Vivier. You're definitely on the same page.
Random Doodads and Humdingers
I finally feel that I can accomplish the body I've always wanted. I've never been able to say that before. Not when I was as chunky as Chunk from The Goonies:
Nor after I did pilates, weights and running on a treadmill for three years. Nope.
I can officially and confidently exclaim that I'M ALREADY GETTING THE BODY I HAVE WANTED FOR TEN FRICKIN' YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First New Years resolution of losing ten pounds? Um, chyeah that's gonna be a snap.
I'm addicted to my healthy regime, but in a not not okay-going too far-starving myself-etc kinda way. I can now jog a whole block without straining myself or pushing it too hard or my legs feeling like theyz gonna snap off behind me. My stamina is growing and I literally woke up this morning thinking, 'Is work over yet so I can go for a run?'
What up.
Also, I'm eating so well and nutritiously it's kinda, basically, stupid unreal. Protein shake for breakfast, low glycemic fruits, lentils and a salad with carrots, a dab of cottage cheese and grilled chicken for dinn. I mean, this is insane!!! I'm motherfuckin' Kelsi. I eat junk, ice cream every day, candy, chocolate, pop tarts, warm delights 150 calorie 30 second chocolate cake, soda and pasta!
And that's just an average day usually.
Wha wha in the butt! I'm a new, shrinking me! This is gonna be so awesome.
Plus, I'm supa pumped for the beast order I made from Urban Outfitters. Specifically a really coot black toggle coat that was originally $148 that I snagged for $13.49. I can't wait, mainly because there's a bunch of tops for the forthcoming Spring and I was in desperate need of them.
Basically, all in all and around the merry go round, this past weekend was just phenomenally great. Friday night was a really cute girls night, crashed by two half naked silly pants (literally, they were wearing hot pink girls' shorts with socks to cover their junk) boys and a ton of talking about I don't even remember.
Saturday was a leisurely afternoon of laying in the sun on my balcony, reading, then dressing up for a wicked Masquerade birthday bash. I had this stellar blue and gold mask with matching tassel beads hanging over my lower face (which left my nose and cheeks covered in blue ink halfway through the night, making it look like I made out with a friggin' Smurf. Always a splendor).
The music was fun and I somehow managed to dance my booty off in five inch glittery wedges without falling on my ass. A feat in those babies. And I finally had an amazing, soul-filling, passionate chat with a girl who owns a good portion of said soul that I hadn't seen nor talked to nearly all last year. It literally patched up a massive part of my emo self and I can be incredibly emo.
It was documented as such below (and no, I didn't fall, I purposely sat on the curb and no, this isn't sarcasm. Seriously. Stop. I'm being honest! I'm not joking. I didn't fall! Goddammit...). :DDD <3
And Sunday was just really good, for no apparent reason. I cleaned and caught up on six episodes of Gossip Girl, worked out and went for a cleansing 35 minute jog/run around my neighborhood, listening to kick ass, inspiring music. It was all simply stupendous and I lobed ever second and wanted to share it, so errbody had a little bit of the random magic I had those three days.
Catch you on the flip flop.
Resolution to Dosolution
Since Sunday, but really it hadn't gone into effect till Tuesday, I've decided to actually put an effort into making my New Years Resolutions happen. I had three, which was relatively small compared to Princessa's, which was like fifteen. Best resolutions list EVER, but that's for her and this post is about mine.
The first was to lose ten pounds. Totally and fully gonna make zhat real and factual and that's that.
So, in order to have it stick, I need to lose my massive addiction to tasty treats. I'd be fuckin' skinny up the wazoo if sugar didn't exist. Alas, it does and when there's a Twix or cookies n' cream ice cream or a box of chocolates, I'm doomed. Sorry, Forest, but my life is not a box of chocolates no mo (especially since I can't just pick one without knowing what I'll get since if it's a nut one, I'll upchuck then die).
Therefore, I'm dedicating myself to reverting my bad sugar craving into only eating dark chocolate 60% and up. Yep, that's right. Me, the girl who despised dark chocolate from the womb, is quite partial to it now. I've been turned! Hip to the fucking hooray already.
That's step one to my first resolution. Since Sunday (last Wednesday was the real start, but I over did it like the fat kid in Matilda who eats the entire chocolate cake in front of the whole school and killed my muscles so much that it hurt to walk, let alone wear my precious heels) I've been going for a thirty to forty five minute jog/sprint/run around my 'hood.
It feels so fuckin' goot and I listen to 'Monster' by Kanye while I strut ma stuff and I feel like such a G. A mega white G who looks entirely like a midget with my layers of workout clothes, but still. Gator don't take shit from nobody! Same applies fo me so zip it or I'll bust a cap in yo ass.
Uh, one.
Basically, I'm very happy with myself for making this turn around and sticking to it. And believe me, four days is a lot in Sparkle years for deciding to go healthy and maintaining it. Plus, I'm drinking freight train loads of water each day. In addition to working out my torso and arms for twenty minutes too.
Say it wif me: Boo. Ya.
After this resolution transforms moi, I'm pretty confident in my second resolution coming to life. I can't remember what my third was though. I think it was travel and that's already a fo sho thing. West coast watch out! Btw, I have no flipping idea what to do for my big 2-1 since my besties are a year younger than me so any suggests?
I'd rather not have my highly anticipated 21st bday fail miserably, if you know what I'm sayin'.
Sparkle out bitches! <3
